LG Velvet, the new premium smartphone with unique design from LG has been officially announced. The actual launch of the phone is slated to happen on May 7 with sale to start from May 15. However, the company made the phone formally official along with all the details of the phone. LG previously released the promo of the device showcasing its unique water drop camera setup at the rear making it a very distinct design. Let’s check out the complete specification of the phone.

LG Velvet design is the main attraction of the phone along with the various color choices it comes with. The design of the phone is made of glass and metal combination chassis offers users with a 3D arc design. The screen extends at the edges of the phone with minimal bezel at top and bottom. There is presence of notch at the top-centre to house the 16MP selfie camera and an in-display finger print sensor under the OLED panel.
The rear of the phone has its main attraction which is the camera setup. The Triple camera setup is arranged in a water droplets manner which looks unique and nice. The camera setup consist of 48-megapixel primary lens, an ultrawide shooter of 8-megapixel and 5-megapixel depth sensor. It comes with numerous features like Voice Out Focus that makes it possible to remove unwanted sound, ASMR (autonomous sensory meridian response) recording function for capturing sound vividly and Time Lapse function allow users to adjust the speed automatically according to the shooting target.
The device is powered by powerful Snapdragon 765 processor and is coupled with 8GB RAM, 128GB internal storage. Battery capacity of the phone is 4300mAh battery with 10W fast WiFi charging. All default connectivity options including 5G, dual-SIM slot, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, USB-C and 3.5mm audio jack are present.
The LG Velvet comes in Aurora White, Aurora Gray, Aurora Green and Illusion Sunset color choices. As mentioned, the device will launch on May 7 and goes on sale from May 15.
