The Zenfone 6z is the successor to the highly successful Zenfone 5Z which was launched last year and impressed in its sales numbers. Asus Zenfone 6z has got rid of the huge notch and goes for the 2019 trend of Full bezel-less display without any holes. Other manufacturers have taken the route of pop-up selfie camera, Asus has made its own innovation of using the 48MP Rear Dual Flip camera as its Selfie camera as well. The creative ‘Flip camera setup’ consisting of 48MP Sony IMX586 f/1.79 1.6µm primary camera and 13MP 125° ultra-wide angle camera will flip up to act as Selfie camera when required.
Looks like its just not a gimmick but a solid setup with 13 gears in the module. It comes with great features build into it like gravitational sensor, a gyro sensor, a hall sensor, and an upper speaker. One of the smart use of this camera setup is that the phone can capture 90° angle pictures without using a tripod.
Apart from this, the phone is packed with Snapdragon 855 processor, huge 5000mAh battery and very good 6.4-inch FHD+ LCD display. The software side of the device is taken care of Zen UI 6.0 based on Android Pie. The company has removed unwanted bloatware and the user experience will be near to the stock android, which is good news. Only gripe one can see is the presence of LCD panel and lack of In-display fingerprint sensor. However, the phone has covered you in all other areas.
Asus has brought in many India specific features like inbuilt call recording, Twin Apps, FM Radio, Outdoor Mode etc. The price of the device is set at Rs 31,999 for 6GB/64GB variant, Rs 34,999 for 6GB/128GB & Rs 39,990 8GB/256GB variant. It comes in black & silver color options. The new Asus Zenfone 6z will go on sale from June 26 and will be available via Flipkart.
