Qualcomm has officially announced its new flagship processor, the snapdragon 865 Plus today. The latest processor comes with various improvements over the standard Snapdragon 865 which was launched at the start of the year. For the past couple of years, the company has started introducing Plus models in the second half of the year which are used by flagship devices coming later in the year. Likewise, this processor is an upgraded version of Snapdragon 865.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Plus Details
The new Snapdragon 865 Plus 5G Mobile Platform comes with model number SM8250-AB. The main changes in the new processor includes 10% increase in CPU performance and Adreno 650 GPU also gets a 10% performance boost.
It support Wi-Fi 6E standard thanks to FastConnect 6900. This means phones powered by this new processor can operate on 2.4GHz, 5GHz, and 6GHz spectrums. Other connectivity features include Bluetooth 5.2, Dual Bluetooth Antennas, aptX suite, and new LE audio features.
Finally, the 4-stream (2×2 + 2×2) Dual Band support is also included. This allows for simultaneous harnessing of multiple antennas and bands to provide faster speed or latency performance.
During the event, Qualcomm confirmed that the upcoming ASUS ROG Phone 3 and the Lenovo Legion Gaming Phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 865 Plus 5G. To recall, Asus ROG 3 gaming smartphone will be launched on July 22.
