YouTube has officially launched its Music streaming and premium video streaming service in India. These services were launched across the world last year and now it has reached India. YouTube Music comes in two ways – Free Ad-support version and Paid- Adfree version which starts at Rs 99/month. Existing Google Music paying subscribers get YouTube Music for free. YouTube Premium offers you access to YouTube Originals like Cobra Kai, an ad-free experience with background play, and offline downloads. Apart from this, it also includes YouTube Music AdFree access in this package.

YouTube Music streaming service will take on the already crowded market with Jio Saavn, recently launched Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube Premium will take on the giants Hotstar, Netflix and Amazon Prime to name a few. So its going to be a tough job for YouTube Premium service to compete, but its existing humongous subscriber base could help in leveling the playing field.
