Today Xiaomi India officially confirmed that Poco F1 phonewill be coming to India on August 22. For some time now, Pocophone brand was been doing the news rounds in internet for showing phone with Snapdragon 845 chipset at less than $400 price. So naturally when a flagship processor is available at lesser price, the interest in the phone tends to get increased. Recently, even gsmarena reported unboxing images and videos of the phone confirming the presence of Snapdragon 845 chipset in it.

Pocophone F1 Specifications

- Qualcomm Snapdraogon 845 Chipset
- 4GB or 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage
- Dual Rear Camera setup and 20MP front Camera with Face Unlock
- Android Oreo with 4000mAh battery
The leaked images ( courtesy @slashleaks ) show Full View display with narrow bezels at the front and anodized aluminum at the back. The back panel has vertical dual camera setup and finger print sensor at the center part and also 3.5mm jack. All basic connectivity setup is expected to be present.

Now, the Xiaomi India twitter handle has tweeted the official Pocoindia account and confirmed the release of the phone in India very soon. As per the reports, the phone will be initially launched in Europe and then could come to India.
With competition in smartphone market getting stiff in India, Xiaomi has taken the new strategy to take on smartphone makers like Asus and Honor specially since for the past 6 months, these two brands have improved their share in the market by launching phones with aggressive pricing like Asus Zenfone Max Pro 1 , Honor Play etc. In fact, Honor Play which was launched last week at only Rs 20,000 had Kirin 970 Processor which is similar to Snapdragon 835 in terms of performance.
We’ll wait for August 22 for the new Pocophone F1 to be launched and how much it will be priced in India.
