Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) with triple Camera setup, side-mount fingerprint scanner launched in India at Rs 23,990

Samsung today launched the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) its first triple camera setup phone in India. The company joined the camera craze bandwagon by introducing the triple camera setup in a mid-range phone rather than in a flagship smartphone.

However, this is expected Samsung’s new strategy for the mid-range smartphones, in which the company is now introducing features that are even not available on its flagship phones. This primarily is to take on the Chinese brands which has been eating into its market share in various regions.

· 6-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity Display with 2220 x 1080 pixels screen resolution

· 2.2Ghz Oct-Core Samsung Exynos Processor

· 4GB/6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB internal storage

· 24MP+8MP+5MP Triple Rear Camera setup and 24MP front Camera for Selfie

· 3,300mAh battery

· Android 8.0 Oreo Samsung Experience UI

Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) comes with all default connectivity options including 4G LTE Cat.6, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v5.0 (LE up to 2Mbps), NFC is some regions, GPS/GLONASS, and a micro USB port. The Triple camera consists of 24MP primary lens with f/1.7 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide f/2.4 lens for wide-angle photos, and a 5MP f/2.2 depth sensors.

Apart from this, other highlight of the phone is the presence of side-mounted fingerprint sensor which we had seen in some Motorola phones earlier. Samsung Pay and Bixby features are in-built into the phone. The phone is priced at Rs 23,990 for 4GB variant and Rs 28,990 for 6GB variant. Gold, Black and Blue are the color options. The phone goes on sale from September via online and offline. Flipkart, Samsung Online Store are the online channel available.
