Xiaomi Mi A2 made its global debut yesterday in Spain in a launch event which we have already reported earlier. Naturally the next question on our minds were about the device launch in India. Now, in a tweet Xiaomi India Head Kumar Jain has confirmed that Mi A2 will be launched in India on August 8th. The smartphone comes in 4GB RAM/32GB, 4GG RAM/ 64GB storage and 6GB RAM/128GB storage variants, however we are still not sure whether all of these variants will be launched.

Another important factor is the price of the device. Mi A1 with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage was launched at Rs 14,999 in India but with Mi A2 having the powerful Snapdragon 660 we could expect the price to start at least Rs 18,000 for the base variant. The price of the device in Spain is set at Euros 249 for base variant and goes up to Euros 349 for 6GB variant. Let’s keep our fingers crossed for it.

Apart from the regular version, Mi A2 Lite with watered down specifications was also launched. Again we are not sure whether this version will be launched in India as there is already so much devices at this price segment.
