Android Nougat 7.1.1 based OxygenOS 4.1 update for One Plus 3 & 3T released
Android 7.1.1 Nougat-based OxygenOS 4.1.0 update for the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T smartphones started to rollout from today. Several new features from OxygenOS along with March Security update. The new OxygenOS update brings several new features to the two smartphones, along with the March Android security update. The new update for the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T are identical in terms of change log of update remains the same for both Oneplus twins.
As mentioned this update upgrades the OS to Android 7.1.1 along with few new features which are listed below:
- Add support for expanded screenshots
- Improving on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity
- Improve Camera performance and video stability when recording
As per Google, the March Android security patch fixed 22 high severity issues and 11 critical problems.
How to Update
OnePlus says that the OTA will be rolled out gradually, which means that it will be available at a small level initially.In few days the broader rollout to all OnePlus and OnePlus 3T buyers can be expected. The OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T users can manually check for the update by heading to Settings > About Phone > System Update.
To add OnePlus has always been very quick in providing these updates.It rolled out Android 7.0 Nougat-based OxygenOS 4.0 update back in January to the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T smartphones. Few weeks back, the company rolled out OxygenOS 4.0.3 update for OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T which fixed two major vulnerabilities of older OxygenOS versions associated with the bootloader on the smartphones.
