Honor Play 4 series smartphones is officially launched in China. After days of leaks, the Honor Play 4 and Honor Play 4 Pro 5-enabled smartphones with high-end specifications has been launched by the company. The Pro variant has the new Kirin 990 processor but has only Dual camera setup at the rear while the lower priced Honor Play 4 has Mediatek Dimensity 800 chipset but has 64MP Quad camera setup. Honor Play 4 series phone follows the usual design with shiny back and full view display at the front with either single or dual punch hole display. The rear part of the phone houses the camera setup arranged in vertical manner in rectangular pattern. Being a premium device, the phone has excellent built quality and has huge FHD+ display.
The Honor Play 4 is powered by low priced Mediatek Dimensity 800 processor whereas the Pro variant sports the flagship Kirin 990 processors.Both of the support up to 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The Honor Play 4 has Quad camera at rear which includes 64MP primary lens, an 8MP wide-angle lens, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth of field lens where as the Pro variant has Dual camera including 40MP primary camera and an 8MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom.
Honor Play 4 being a gaming centric phone comes with VC liquid cooling technology and a 12 layer heat dissipation structure. All default connectivity options are present in the device. One of the highlight of the Pro variant apart from chipset is the presence of special IR temperature sensor that can measure temperatures ranging from -20 degrees Celcius to 100 degrees Celcius.
Finally, the standard varaint is priced at at CNY 1,799 for 6GB model and CNY 1,999 for 8GB variant, it comes in Iceland Phantom, Phantom Blue, and Phantom Night Black color options. The Pro is priced at CNY 2,899 and comes in Mecha Blue, Icelandic Illusion, and Fantasy Night Black.
