Tecno ‘i’ Series smartphones launched in India.Available from this week.
Adding to the existing smart phone manufacturers and providers in India, we have a newcomer Tecno Mobile. Tecno Mobile is a subsidiary of Hong Kong-based Company Transsion Holdings. For India, the company has launched five smart phones namely – Tecno i3( Rs 7,990), i5 (Rs 11,490), i5 Pro (Rs 12,990) and i7 (Rs 14,990).All prices provided are marker operating prices as per the announcement.
Tecno Mobile are currently operating in Africa and now trying to enter the already crowded and competitive Indian market. The highlight of Techno Mobile as marketed by the Company is on the camera app and its fingerprint sensor.
As per the Tecno, the inbuilt camera app features an optimized algorithm tailored to Indian skin tones and the camera is driven by its proprietary PIXELEX engine which improves the quality of low light photos and videos. The fingerprint sensor is termed as ‘anti-oil’ which allows users for smooth lock/unlock experience irrespective of the Indian weather conditions. We have to check more details on what they really offer as ‘ant-oil’ to get a clear picture.
The Tecno i7 will be available in India from May month whereas the other models will be available from April 19 through offline retail stores in Punjab, Rajasthan and Gujarat. We can expect availability in other states soon. The smart phones comes in Champagne Gold, Sky Black, and Space Grey color. Finally the company is offering ‘Tecno 151 promise’ program which provides users 100-day replacement guarantee, 50 percent buyback and 1-year one-time screen replacement offer for a limited time.

- i5 has 2GB RAM/16GB internal storage and i5 Pro has 3GB RAM/32GB internal storage
- 13-megapixel rear cameras alongside 8-megapixel front cameras
- 4000mAh battery capacity and fingerprint sensor
