In September of this year, and for the very first time, we were told that Huawei may be developing an Clamshell Foldable Phone, similar to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip 3. It’s now believed that Huawei, the Chinese phone and telecom equipment company will unveil its clamshell foldable phone later this month.
It is likely to be the very first phone manufactured by the company. There are reports being released that point to the possibility of a new hinge Huawei will implement in its new clamshell folding phone. This bit of information has been verified by a maker of smartphone hardware and appears to be authentic. The problem is that Huawei haven’t made official official statements as of yet.
Zhaoli Technology, a company which makes smartphone hardware, has suggested that Huawei’s next clamshell folding phone will feature a new hinge design. The company said they’ve been working on the hinge for a while, as well. Huawei will soon be now ready to announce the phone. As of now, Huawei has launched quite many foldable phones that began in that of the Mate X and then the the Mate the Xs with some upgrades with regard to design. It was followed by the Mate X2 was released, which, when it was released, was a complete upgrade. But, these were phones that could be expanded into tablets.
Huawei has altered its strategy and is now deciding to make the possibility of a foldable clamshell. But, we do not know what the phone will look but based on the design images it is clear this phone is likely to be released with a style that’s like the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3.
With Huawei opting for an e-clamshell that folds it is possible that the company would like to eliminate the camera on the front and utilize a secondary display. If this is the case it will allow the primary camera to also be used for shooting videos and selfies. However the experience of video calls may not be as enjoyable as other gadgets that make use of the full-screen area.
We currently have no information on the processor RAM, the OS and the like We’re expecting that the device to become a top-of-the-line device, and it’s not Huawei who is bringing out a device that folds. Oppo might launch a foldable device in December.
