Reliance Jio announced slashing of its 4G plan prices and offering upto 50% more beneit as part of Happy New year offer .This meant users on most of the 1GB/ day plan will get 1.5GB/day at the same price and validity. Now to counter this, Airtel has announced that has updated its Rs 448 and Rs 509 tariff plan with more validity and data that counters Jio’s latest tariff plan.
Airtel Tariff Change
When you recharge for Rs 448 plan, Airtel prepaid subscribers will now get 1GB data per day for 82 days, meaning a total of 82GB 4G data. Before this, the same plan offered 1GB data per day with 70 days validity. Other benefits include free local and STD voice calls, free roaming 100 SMS per day. Additionally, the plan also gives subscription to Wynk Music and Airtel TV apps.
When you recharge for Rs 509, Airtel is now increasing the validity from 84 days to 91 days. The plan offers 1GB data per day and users will get 91GB of data. It also offers other benefits similar to Rs 448 plan including free voice calls and 100 SMS per day.
Vodafone Tariff Change
It should also be noted, Vodafone also revised its tariff plan with more data and validity to counter Jio’s data plan. It increased validity and data benefit of its Rs 458 recharge pack from 70 days to 84 days, and users will now get 84GB data. Same goes for the Rs 509 plan, where the company offers 1GB data per day for 91 days as opposed to 84 days previously offered under this plan. Vodafone also offers unlimited local and STD calls, unlimited roaming and 100 SMS per day with both the recharge packs.
With all this 4G tariff price war, the consumers seem to enjoy the best phase of experience the full digital benefits.
