Vivo Y66 with 16MP Front Camera and 3GB RAM launched in India
Vivo has unveiled its latest Selfie focused smartphone, the Vivo Y66 in India. The 4G enabled smartphone will sport 16MP front camera which comes with a LED flash that the company calls “Moonlight Glow” specifically to satisfy Selfie enthusiasts.
Vivo claims that the ”Moonlight Glow” feature induces a natural glow on the face that lights up pictures irrespective of lighting conditions.
The Selfie smartphone specification includes:
- 5.5′ HD (1280×720) 2.D curved display protected by Gorilla Glass 3
- octa-core 64-bit processor, 3GB of RAM
- sleek unibody design
- 32GB internal storage which can be expanded via a microSD card
- 3,000mAh battery with QuickCharge 2.0 support.
The smartphone comes with Vivo’s software overlay called the Funtouch OS 3.0 running atop Android 6.0 Marshmallow. As highlighted already, the smartphone features a 13MP primary camera with a LED flash and a 16MP camera on the front with the aforementioned “Moonlight Glow” feature.
The Chinese company has included few noteworthy features like ‘Smart Screen-Split’ mode to make multi-tasking easy, an “Eye Protection Mode” which is basically a blue-light filter for the display and a 6-month free subscription to Saavn Pro, which provides an ad-free experience with unlimited song downloads. These will definitely be a value-add for the customers.
It must be noted along with Vivo, one of its competitor Oppo has also launched a slew of Selfies focussed smartphones in the same segment.
