Oppo Reno 2 series smartphones including OppoReno 2, Reno 2F and Reno 2Z was launched today at an event in New Delhi. The company has teased the latest premium smartphone from Oppo for the last few days and India getting the world’s first look even before China where it gets released on September 4th.
The design languages of the new phones are carried over from the first generation Oppo Reno phone. The shark-fin Selfie camera remains whereas the device is upgraded in processor and camera department. Check below for specifications.

As you can see, majority of the specifications including display, battery, features are common among all the three models. The difference are mainly in the processor and RAM/storage details. Snapdragon 730 G processor powers the Oppo Reno 2 being the premium model and has 8GB RAM, 256 GB internal storage. The Oppo Reno 2Z and 2F have Helio P90 and P70 SoC respectively. The storage for these starts from 128GB and has 8GB RAM.
The highlight of the phone is the 48MP Quad camera, which consist of Sony IMX586 sensor, 13MP telephoto lens, 8MP wide-angle and 2MP mono lens. The setup supports 5X hybrid zoom, 20X digital Zoom, Ultra-dark mode and ultra-steady video. The 16MP Selfie camera is present inside the shark-fin pop-up module which is AI powered.
The latest Gorilla Glass 6 at the back protects the display and the device. You get brilliant 6.5-inch AMOLE display with immersive experience since there is no notch or any punch-hole at the front. The phone has a Game Boost 3.0 mode for giving smoother experience while gaming.
All default connectivity options are present in the phone including 3.5mm jack and USB-C port. Finally, there is In-display fingerprint sensor at the front.
The Oppo Reno 2 phones comes in Ocean Blue and Luminous black color options. The price of Oppo Reno 2 is fixed at Rs 36,990 , will be available from September 20 and the Reno 2Z starts at Rs 29,990 available from September 4. Oppo Reno 2F will be available only by November and the price details are not known.
