Mi A3 with Snapdragon 665, Triple Camera, AMOLED display launched in India starting Rs 12,999

Mi A3, the latest phone in the highly popular A-series phone from Xiaomi was launched today in India. The Mi A series has always been a unique device from the company mainly due to stock android experience it provides, moving from the bloated and ad-full MIUI. Mi A3 succeeds the hugely successful Mi A2 with improvements in many specs.

However, it made sacrifice in the resolution of the display which we feel will not go well with users. Also, it should be noted that the phone is basically the rebranded version of recently launched Mi CC9e with stock android. Let’s check out the specifications.

Mi A3 Specifications

·         6.08-inch HD+ AMOLED Display

·         Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 Processor

·         4GB/6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB internal storage

·         48MP + 8MP + 2MP Triple Rear Camera & 32MP Selfie Camera

·         4030mAh battery

·         Android 9 Pie

The new Mi A3 comes with dot-notch display with AMOLED panel dominated at the front. In-display fingerprint sensor is present underneath the display while the rear houses the 48MP triple camera setup.

The notch will house the 32MP Selfie camera and comes with face unlock feature. The rear triple camera has various camera mode including night mode and is powered by AI. All default connectivity options are present in the phone.

The new device will be part of Android One program so naturally you will get all the updates and security patches directly from Google faster. In addition, the stock android provides a smoother and bloatware-free experience.

The device will come in Blue, Black and Pure White color options. The price of the device is set at Rs 12,999 for 4GB/64GB variant and Rs 15,999 for 6GB/128GB variant. Mi A3 goes on sale from August 23 via amazon, Mi website and Mi store. We can expect the phone to get tough competition from the Realme 5 Pro which was launched just yesterday.
