Samsung’s next highly anticipated flagship after the Note 7 debacle is Galaxy S8 & S8+ smartphones. The leaks and rumours are coming in thick and fast with With Samsung’s Unpacked event inching closer i.e at March 29th,2017. Previous we had reported on the specification of Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+.

The recent leaks give us details on Samsung improving Galaxy S8’s camera in shooting super slow motion video just like Sony recently did it with their new flagship.Sony introduced something called the ‘Motion Eye’ in upcoming Xperia XZs and XZ premium smartphones. This technology will enable the camera to record video at 960fps by embedding fast memory right into the camera part which allows for the high quality super slow motion video capture. But Samsung has even gone up a step further and improved this setup in a way that its 12MP rear camera can support for 1000fps video recording.

To compare it with iPhone 7 which can record slow motion video at 120fps (1080p) or 240 fps (720p) this leap in enhancement is noteworthy by Samsung. Also, Samsung has added a DRAM storage at the camera stack to support this higher fps recording and to enhance the speed of transmittal and storage of images.

Now moving on the front camera, Galaxy S8  sports an 8MP front camera with auto-focus. This camera setup will be accompanied by a 3.7MP Iris camera sensor for biometric authentication. The rumour has it that we may see facial recognition additional added to the smartphone for faster biometric authentication.
