Redmi Note 9 Pro and 9 Pro Max launched with 64MP Quad Camera, Snapdragon 720G SoC launched starting Rs 12,999

Today, Redmi India launched its new Note series smartphones in the country. Redmi Note 9 Pro and Redmi Note 9 Pro Max are the two new variants in the series. To recall, this year the company has decided to forgo the standard Note variant and opted for a ‘Pro’ and ‘max’ variant. Both the phones are similar in many ways except on the camera setup. The new Redmi Note 9 Pro series phone have similar design and built quality. The device follows Aura Balance Design that features a 3D curved glass rear protected by Gorilla glass 5 all around. The front of the device have the huge 6.67-inch LCD display, which houses the punch-hole at the top center position for Selfie camera. The rear of the phone has the Quad camera setup arranged in square pattern at the middle. You get fingerprint sensor present at the side of the phone.

Both Redmi Note 9 Pro phones are powered by Snapdragon 720G SoC, coupled with different combinations of RAM and storage options. Redmi Note 9 Pro Max camera consist of 64MP main camera, 8MP ultrawide angle lens, a 5MP macro lens, and 2MP depth assist sensor. On the other hand, Note 9 Pro has primary 48MP sensor and other lens are same as Max variant. The Max variant gets 32MP Selfie Camera while lower variant gets 16MP sensor at the front.

Battery capacity if 5020mAh for both phones. However, 33W fast charger is given for Max variant in the box while Pro variant gets only 18W charger. All default connectivity options including dedicated microSD card slot, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac with 2×2 MIMO, Bluetooth 5.0, IR blaster, USB-C and 3.5mm audio jack are present.

Aurora Blue, Glacier White and Interstellar Black are the colors options. Price of the devices given below:
