Redmi Note 7 with 48MP Camera, Snapdragon 660, 4000mAh launched starting Rs 10,400

The new Redmi Note 7 was launched today in China. It is the first phone from the company after forming the separate Redmi from Xiaomi brand similar to what Oppo did with Realme. They have launched blockbuster of a device in terms of design, specifications and pricing. It is touted to be the first smartphone with 48MP camera with Samsung ISOCELL GM1 48-megapixel Ultra Clear sensor as the primary sensor.

The Redmi Note 7 also is the first device from Redmi to have premium glass body built like the Honor/Oppo devices. Usually Redmi phone sport plastic built with a touch of metal, so this is a good change from that. Finally, the new Redmi brand hit the bull’s eye with the pricing of the device.

For a smartphone, with FHD+ display, Snapdragon 660 Processor, Premium built, 4000mAh battery, Fast charging Support, 48MP+2MP Dual, Fingerprint Sensor the price of the device starts at just Rs 10,400 ( 999 Yuan ).

The latest phone from Redmi has Infrared sensor and also presence of 3.5mm jack. It was mentioned the phone and its buttons comes with special coating for protection against water but didn’t clarify on the IP rating.

Though the phone sports glass body, the company claimed it has strengthened its four corners and the “microcrack” edge polishing process has increased the sturdiness of the device. The rear camera is expected to take stunning pictures with Selfie camera supporting various AI modes.

All default connectivity options are present in the phone. The phone comes in Black, Fantasy Blue & Twilight Red gradient colors. The price of 3GB RAM variant is set at Rs 10,400 (999 Yuan ), 4GB variant at Rs 12,400 (1,199 Yuan) and 6GB variant at Rs 14,200 (1,399 Yuan ). 

Apparently,  very soon Redmi Note 7 Pro with 48MP Sony Sensor will be launched. The phone goes on sale on January 15 in China. We can expect the phone to reach by  February or early March in India. So let us know what you think about this new launch from Redmi in comments below.
