New Surface Pro 6 and Surface Laptop 2 launched by Microsoft with updated specs and colors

Today, at an event Microsoft revamped it Surface series devices by launching the new Surface Pro 6 convertible and Surface laptop 2. Apart from having latest specifications and processors, the highlight of the devices is new matte black color variant which was announced. Apart from the regular grey version, the new black variant looks smart and stunning at the same time.

Surface Pro 6 and Surface Laptop 2 Specification 

Microsoft Surface Pro 6 has 12.5-inch touch screen with 2736×1824 resolution, latest 8th Gen Intel processor starting with i5 for base variant, 8GB RAM, 128GB to 1TB SSD storage 8MP rear-facing camera, and a 5MP front-facing camera with Windows Hello support. Battery backup is promised a good 13.5 hours and ports include USB 3.1 generation 1 Type-A port, mini-DisplayPort, the proprietary Surface Connect port, a 3.5mm headset jack, and a microSDXC card reader. Windows 10 Home is preloaded and the starting price is $899 for 8GB and 128GB variant.

Microsoft Surface Laptop 2 has 13.5-inch display, powered by 8th Gen processor, 8GB RAM and 128Gb storage for the base variant. The laptop will have Windows 10 Home preloaded and is priced $999 for i5, 8GB and 128GB storage variant. The battery backup is claimed up to 14.5 hours.

Apart from these two, Microsoft also announced Surface Studio 2, a whopping 28-inch device used for creative heads and used for arts too. This is priced at $3,499 and will ship from October 16. The other new launch was the Surface headphones with built-in Cortana. It’s an over-the-ear wireless Bluetooth headphones with a battery life of 15 hours. It has USB-C port for charging and comes in grey color.
