After months of leaks, the iconic Motorola Razr smartphone returns in 2019 with a foldable display yet with the same vintage design. The device was announced today at an event and the major highlight of the phone was how impressive Motorola was able to perfect the foldable design compared to Samsung and Huawei. Though, being clam-shell model the new Razr phone looks like every bit of how the future folding phones should be. However, the drawback one could say is on the specifications of the phone which is quite underwhelming. But then you can understand, the build of this phone was in works for the past 4 years. Motorola Razr is a vertically foldable phone which is supported by two stainless steel hinges placed underneath the flexible display.The display is nano-coated for splash resistance. In unfold state, you get a generoius 6.2-inch OLED display which has a notch at the top to house the 5MP selfie camera. When folded, you get a secondary 2.69-inch display and 16MP rear camera. The secondary display helps you to check notifications, time etc. You also get the usual Moto actions to perform useful functions using gestures and shaking phone.
The new smartphone is powered by a rather older Snapdragon 710 SoC and has 6GB RAM. The camera setup is modest at the least with 16MP Rear camera and 5MP selfie camera. There is no 3.5mm jack but the phone comes with connectitty options like e-SIM, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, GPS and USB-C.
Motorola Razr is priced at an whopping $1499 when it goes on sale in January 2020. We expect the phone to get launched in India too. It comes in only one color Noir Black.
