Micromax premium offering the Dual 5 Smartphone with premium built and polish design launched in India
Micromax, the once leading Smartphone Manufacturer in India launched it’s most premium phone so far. Micromax Dual 5 smartphone comes with an attractive high-quality design and build unlike any of its earlier models. As expected the device priced at Rs 24,999 is going for the higher mid-range segment popular among consumers after the 15k segment. From what is shown, the phone comes with loaded in both hardware and software front. You can buy the phone from April 10, the date it will be available online at Flipkart as well as in offline shops.
As the name suggest, the highlight of the Micromax Dual 5 smartphone is the twin rear camera setup which is the trend for all premium devices nowadays. But the company extends the reason for the name as a combination of hardware and software features present in the smartphone. Also, it looks like the Dual series will see more launches in coming months across various segments as per Micromax. This was confirmed by the teaser of Dual 4 smartphone shown by the company. Let’s go through the Dual 5 specifications first.

Micromax is proud of the Camera and highlight it as the main feature in this mobile. The dual rear camera –one with full-color and another with monochrome sensor enhances the picture output, low light images and the ability to take portrait pictures with blurred background.
Another feature boasted by Micromax is the security aspect. There is a vault option in the phone where data stored is encrypted and will not be visible or accessible by other users. Also, the smartphone has an exclusive chip built in which act as a safe switch which ensures no other party can unlock the phone. It goes to the distance where if anyone tries to pull out the SIM card the phone will capture the picture of the person and send across a mail.
Micromax New Strategy
During the announcement, Micromax also revealed its new business strategy to expand and capture its market share in both lower end and higher end segments. This was stressed by pointing out that they will enhance the product eco-system by combining hardware, software, digital payments and customer services.
Micromax has invested heavily in improving the after-sales service and it’s shown by offering one-year replacement guarantee for the Dual 5, along with 24-hour customer service on phone.
