Instagram introduces new tools like blue tick verification, 2FA for improved experience

Instagram today introduces few tools in its app to make the user experience more secure and transparent. The functionality of these features is to make sure the user accounts are authentic and thereby making the interaction with a notable public figure authentic. In a statement from Mike Krieger, CTO “As the CTO of Instagram, keeping people with bad intentions off our platform is incredibly important to me”. Let’s check out these new tools below

Using this feature, the users can see more information about an Instagram accounts via a feature called ‘About the Account’.

Apart from this, the Facebook owned photo app was enabling two-factor authentication (2FA) via third-part apps like the Google Authenticator.

Finally, users can now verify their twitter accounts to get the blue badge which provides a tick mark against your account making identifying authentic accounts easily.

These new announcements from Instagram comes when Facebook itself is trying to curb Fake news and accounts from its platform.
