Huawei on Friday launched its Android Oreo based new custom OS EMUI 8.0 in China.The major highlight of the version is the enhanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities.The custom OS are overlay used by various manufacturers on top of stock android to provide some extra features and for customization.Currently, the trend has been to have this overlay as light weight and closer to stock android as possible.

“The update significantly cuts down on the number of steps needed to achieve the desired function through its smart applications like navigation dock and smart screen. It enables the user to reach 90 per cent of the core functions in a single-click,” Huawei said in a statement.
The new EMUI 8.0 is already present in its latest flagship Honor View 10. We can expect the OS to be rolled out to Honor 8 Pro, Honor 9i, Honor 7X and Honor 8 Lite soon.Additionally the upcoming Honor 9 Lite is expected to have this.
