On March 26, Huawei has planned to launch its next flagship smartphone the P40 smartphones. However, now even before a month  the company took the wraps off the younger member, the Huawei P40 Lite. As a result of restrictions imposed by the US ban, this isn’t a very new smartphone, however a rebranded model of an present machine. The P40 Lite is a rebranded Huawei Nova 6 SE that was introduced in China in December last year.

The phone has screen-to-body ratio of 90.6% which is definitively satisfactory for a mid-range device. It has 159.2 x 76.3 x 8.7mm and it weighs 183 grams.

As you may expect, this device doesn’t include Google Mobile Services (GMS). As an alternative, we have Huawei’s own set of apps  such as the App Gallery for PlayStore.

The camera setup consists in a 48MP main lens, a 120-degree 8MP wide-angle lens, a 2MP macro, and 2MP depth sensors. The Quad-Camera setup is arranged in a square-shaped array that takes some inspiration on the Mate collection. Selfie lovers will likely be joyful to know that there’s a 16MP snapper dwelling inside the punch gap. The handset comes with superior pictures options like Super Night Mode and AI-driven video editor.

The smartphone attracts energy from a giant 4,200mAh battery. Apparently enough it comes with 40W SuperCharge tech which guarantees 70% of battery in just 30 minutes. The crazy-fast charging tech definitively makes this device stand against different mid-rangers in the market. There’s a side-mounted fingerprint scanner on the gadget. On the connectivity facet, the P40 Lite contains dual SIM support, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0 LE and USB-C.

The P40 Lite retails for 299 euros (~$325). The handset is available in three colour choices, Midnight Black, Sakura Pink, and Crush Green. The pre-sale period begins on March 2 and can proceed till March 16. Huawei will also give free Freebuds TWS earphones and screen protector for many who pre-order the device.
