Honor Magic 2 to come with AMOLED display with highest screen-to-body ratio

At the recent IFA 2018 event in Berlin, Honor teased us with the next generation Honor Magic 2 smartphone. To recall, Honor Magic which was soft launched two years had a gorgeous built and design along with a pebble shape. Though the phone was attractive, it never made it to mainstream customers. Now with Honor Magic 2, the company is seriously planning to take on the competition.

The highlights of the smartphone are the claimed ‘Highest screen-to-body ratio’ almost up to 100% and presence of Super AMOLED display. With this impressive display ratio and AMOLED screen, one can expect a stunning device in the final output. These details were confirmed Honor’s official Weibo account.

Honor Magic 2 Specifications

  • 6-Inch AMOLED display with 1440×2880 pixels resolution
  • 1.8GHz  HiSilicon Kirin 980 chipset
  • 6GB RAM and at least 128GB internal storage ( not confirmed)
  • 12MP+12MP Dual Rear Camera setup & 24MP Selfie Camera
  • 3300mAh battery with fast charging capacity

The device is expected to have 6-Inch AMOLED display with 1440×2880 pixels resolution with aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and pixel density of 537 PPI. Magic 2 will have a camera slider, which would also help the brand ensure there is a Fullviewdisplay and has premium exteriors. However, contrary to Oppo Find X, there will a presence of slider which the user has to manually use to open the slider camera setup. This setup makes sure there are no water and dust resistance features on the phone.

Apart from these, Honor magic 2 will come with ‘Magic Charger’ with the smartphone reportedly capable of taking wattage of up to 40W. The expected launch date of the phone is still not known. We’ll update the details as and when we get more. Keep following us.
