Canon EOS R5 and EOS R6 Full-Frame Mirrorless Camera Launched in India

Canon India launched new mirrorless camera in India – Canon EOS R5 and EOS R6 Camera. The new cameras come with latest features like anon’s DIGIC X imaging processor and an in-body image stabilizer. Both the camera models will be available for purchase starting August 2020 at Canon Image Squares and other authorized retailers.

Canon EOS R5 has 45 MP full-frame CMOS sensor and ISO that can go up to ISO 51200, with the option to expand to ISO 102400. The highlight of the camera is its capability to record 8K videos internally without any external accessories. It can record up to 120 fps in 4K and file format support include RAW, H.265 HEVC, and H.264 MP4 in either ALL-I or IPB compression.

On connectivity, it supports 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz wireless LAN without any additional accessory. FTP and FTPS is supported as well. This allows easily transfer image data from the camera to a smart device, PC or an FTP server.

Canon EOS R6 comes with 20.1 MP full-frame CMOS sensor and support for 4K recording. it boasts Canon’s DIGIC X imaging processor and an in-body image stabiliser. It can shoot 4K at 60 fps, and slow-motion at 120fps in Full HD.

Both the models has shooting speed of up to 20 fps at full resolution using an electronic shutter, with AF and AE tracking. The mechanical shutter supports up to 12 fps shutter speed. AF Priority mode,  In-Body Image Stabilization function, Dual Pixel CMOS AF and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) are other features present in both the cameras.

The Canon EOS R5 is priced at Rs 3,39,995, whereas the EOS R6 will set you back by Rs 2,15,995. Though it is officially announced, the mirrorless camera goes on sale from August 2020 only.
