Asus ROG Gaming Laptops & Desktops with GeForce RTX GPU launched in India

Asus ROG gaming laptops & desktops with latest generation processors and GeForce RTX graphics has been officially launched in India. The latest devices in ROG series was unveiled at the CES2019 event and now they are already available in the country. Asus ROG Strix Hero II, Asus ROG Strix Scar II and ROG Zephyrus laptops and GL12 CX gaming desktop are included in this range. The major highlight of these gaming devices are presence of 144Hz displays, 8th Gen ‘Coffee Lake’ Intel Core CPUs and slim screen borders.

Asus ROG Strix Hero & ROG Scar Laptop Details

Both Asus ROG Strix & Scar edition laptops comes with similar specifications but vary largely in design front. Scar series are aimed FPS (first-person shooter) players with a gunmetal lid, red accents, and printed camouflage pattern whereas Hero series is for MOBA-style games. Both of them feature RGB backlit keyboards with four lighting zones, plus an RGB LED light bar on the front lip and an illuminated ROG logo on the lid.

The specifications of the laptop include 15.6-inch 144Hz anti-glare full-HD screen, six-core Intel Core i7-8750H processor, 16GB of DDR4 RAM, and Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 GPU. For storage, there’s a 256GB PCIe SSD as well as a 1TB 5400rpm SSHD. Both laptops feature one USB 3.1 Gen2 Type-C and Type-A port each, along with two USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports, Mini DisplayPort and HDMI video outputs, an SD card slot, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, and Bluetooth 5.  The Asus ROG Strix Scar and Strix Hero models are already available in India starting today, priced at Rs. 1,64,990 onwards.

Asus Zephyrus S Laptop Details

The Asus Zephyrus S Laptop is the world’s slimmest gaming laptop”. The device comes with patented cooling system with dust-resistant fans, five heat pipes and four heatsinks. It comes in two variants – 15.6inch (GX531) and 17.3-inch (GX701) display size. The GX531 comes with 144Hz anti-glare full-HD screen, six-core Intel Core i7-8750H processor, 16GB of DDR4 RAM, 512GB SSD and Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 GPU with Max-Q optimization . The GX701 model has 144Hz anti-glare full-HD screen and GeForce RTX 2080 (Max-Q) GPU and 1TB SSD.

Both the models come in with packed connectivity options such as USB 3.1 Gen2 Type-C and Type-A ports as well as one USB 3.1 Gen1 port, HDMI and Mini DisplayPort video outputs, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, and Bluetooth 5. The price of 15inch model is Rs. 2,39,990 and 17-inch model is Rs. 3,49,990 in India and will be available from April11.

Finally, the company also introduced three ROG GL12 CX gaming desktop variants. They sport similar specs to the laptops, however the top-end variant priced Rs. 3,29,990 features 9th Gen Intel Core i9-9900K CPU, Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 GPU, Intel Z390-based motherboard, 32GB of DDR4 RAM, 512GB PCIe SSD and 2TB hard drive. All the three new desktop models are already available for purchase.
