Apple MacBook Air gets the much needs upgrade and changes, priced at $1,199

Apple in the launch event today introduced the refreshed Macbook Air device. Earlier, the event also saw the new 2018 iPad Pro tablet with powerful processor and sleeker design. The other major attraction was this Macbook Air upgrade whose original version was launched almost 7 years ago. The changes on the new version include new and vivid Retina Display, slimmer bezels and even sleeker design. The device has a new unibody design made out of recycled aluminum shavings.

·         13.3-inch Retina Display on the new MacBook with 2560 x 1600 resolution screen

·         8th-gen Intel U-series processor

·         16GB of RAM and up to 1.5TB of storage

·         up to 12 hours of web browsing or 13 hours of playing back videos from iTunes

Other features of the new MacBook Air include TouchID whose authentication is backed by Apple’s own T2 security chip. This can be extended for Apple and third-part apps as well. The laptop has the butterfly keyboard like the Macbook Pro and comes with two thunderbolt 3 ports.

The base variant of the MacBook Air which comes with 1.6GHz i5-8265U Intel CPU, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB SSD is priced at $1,199 and goes up with respect to configurations.  For now, the pre-orders have started for U.S with no info on India launch details.
