Coolpad India surprised with an announcement of Amazon Alexa assistant coming to their smartphones sold in India. For the uninitiated, Amazon Alexa is the company smart assistant present in Echo devices. Currently Amazon sells Echo devices in India and it has been the dominant player in the smart speaker segment. With this integration, Coolpad is definitely brining a great value to their smartphone offering in India.
Amazon Alexa App
Once the Amazon Alexa App is installed, you can give voice commands to perform multiple tasks including calling or messaging a contact, setting alarm or timer, play favorite music from Amazon Music India etc.,.
Apart from this, App will also allow you to order items from Amazon using voice and get the latest news briefing from the App itself.

For now the Alexa App, will be rolled out to CoolPlay 6, Note 5 and Note 5 Pro via OTA update. It should also be noted, CoolPad is the first smartphone brand which has this integration in India currently.
As highlighted earlier, you can get Alex Assistant through Amazon Echo devices as well and they are no longer restricted to ‘Invite Only’.
