Acer Swift 7 is world’s thinnest laptop with bezel-less display; Swift 5 also debuts as Lightest

Acer Swift 7 will be introduced in IFA event today which is happening in Berlin.  The highlight of the laptop as with previous Swift series, is that this will be the world’s thinnest laptop with less than 10mm thickness. The near bezel-less display and insane screen-to-body ratio of 92% makes this laptop a stunner.

Acer Swift 7 Details

For now, we are sure that the Acer Swift 7 will ship with 8th generation Intel Core i7 processor and will weigh less than 2.2pounds. Other details of the device are 14-inch display like its previous model and will have less bezel. Acer has not revealed the complete specifications, price details or the availability yet, so we’ll update you as and when we get more details.

Acer Swift 5

Acer Swift can be termed as the lightest 15-inch laptop ever made so far weighing only 990 grams. This was made possible by usage of magnesium-lithium alloy clamshell design as mentioned by Acer. Let’s check out the specifications of the laptop

·         15-inch 1080p IPS display with 87.6% screen-to-body-ratio

·         Core i7-8565U Whiskey 8th Generation Processor

·         16GB DDR4 RAM and up to 1TB NVMe PCI storage

The Acer Swift 5 comes with backlit keyboard and includes two USB 3.1 ports, one USB Type-C port and a HDMI port. The laptops are scheduled to go on sale in January with starting price of $1099.
